Landscapers and Garden Design

To ensure you can visualise your new garden we not only present the design from the general plan-view, but also through a selection of 3D printed presentations from different points round your new garden to give you a precise view of what your garden will look like when it is finished.
Our First Meeting –To us, the most important person in this meeting is YOU. We want to understand what you want out of your garden. You may be at work every day and simply wish to come home to a calm minimalistic environment to sit and have a meal or chat with your friends; you may be passionate about herbaceous plants and want a terraced bordered garden with sways of coloured plantings. By listening to you we can design a garden unique to you. During our meeting we will show you examples of our previous designs and explain our design and landscaping process.
Site Survey – With your approval we then carry out a detailed survey of the garden which includes the garden’s boundaries, the position of your property, existing trees and all of the other elements that will be retained in the new design.
Initial Design – Based upon the array of information generated we create a conceptual design of the proposed garden. We then discuss each of the different areas in detail with you to obtain your reactions to each element of the design and note any changes that you may require. At this stage we will know an approximate material and labour cost so you can make alterations to the materials or some additions so both the design and budget can be aligned.
Detailed Design –We update the conceptual design with any modifications we have discussed and present a detailed scaled
plan drawing and estimated costs of your new garden. We also present a selection of 3D presentations from various positions round the garden so you can see how your garden will look when it is finished.
Planting Plan – Taking into account your preferences, the site environment such as soil makeup and aspect, a detailed planting plan is provided.
Landscaper Drawings – Detailed construction drawings are generated for all of the hard landscape and soft landscape elements such as patios, walls, pergolas, planting and lighting etc., to enable our landscaping team to construct your new garden efficiently and effectively.
Constructing your garden yourself – If you intend to construct your garden or hand over the project to another landscaper if the site is outside our landscaping area we supply all relevant information such as measurements and specifications regarding materials to ensure straight forward planning.
Design Fees
It is hard to calculate the design cost in advance as it depends upon the complexity of the design and the hours taken to finalise the project, but our fees for designing a garden initially start from as little as £250.00 plus VAT.
We appreciate that your requirements may differ from the above. To discuss your project, please contact Ken Haken at House and Garden on 01993 709979
